Canon Type PFI-51, PFI-53 and PFI-57 ink jet cartridges are used in wide-format printers such as the 24 inch imagePROGRAF® PRO-520, the 44 inch PRO-540 and the 60 inch PRO-560.
Each printer uses 12 ink tanks, or cartridges (cyan, photo cyan, magenta, photo magenta, yellow, gray, photo gray, red, blue, photo black, matte black and photo optimizer). Ink capacity differs by cartridge type: PFI-51 contains 160ml, PFI-53 330ml and PFI-57 700ml. Other user replaceable supplies include one user-replaceable print head (PF-10) and one maintenance cartridge (MC-30).
The PRO-520 ships with a set of 160ml cartridges, while the PRO-540 and PRO-560 ship with 330ml cartridges. All models also ship with one print head and one maintenance cartridge.
Each ink cartridge requires a chip for correct printer operation.
